21 August. I've just spent a good bit of my morning looking at the blogs on tecnorati. I searched for Library 2.0 and Learning 2.0. Read a lot of stuff, some of which had nothing to do with libraries or learning 2.0. Then there was the video clip about Emily, whoever she is, and the program that will change her face. And the little girls in California selling vegetables by the side of the road. Some of the comments (most of the ones I read) were distasteful, to say the least. I found some clips about Library 2.0, but they weren't very exciting. One was a lecture that lasted over an hour. Do I need to say that I didn't listen to that one?

21 Aug. Okay, here I am at home, because of the storm. I think I was supposed to put in a generator address. So the one I liked best,was http://wigflip.com/superstickies/. I actually just finished a book with a sticky note as part of the title.

Library Thing

Well, here I am again. I'm about to go home. I just signed up for Library Thing. Added 5 books to my list. If I keep at this, I may actually finish this project some day.

Not so bad

Okay, I've calmed down a bit. Been looking at the Generator things. Most of it looks like, why would I want to do that? But it's okay. The sticky note thing is cute. But when would I use it? Why not just write my message? I seem to be missing something in my makeup that would say "Wow this is cool! I can't wait to use this!"

Exercise 8

This is so frustrating! It makes me feel so stupid. It is just not intuitive to me to go from one place to the next. I need directions written in words of one sylable. And the worst part, probably what makes it even more frustrating, is that I do not want to be writing anything for the rest of the world to see. At least not about doing these lessons. I DO want to know about blogs and all that, but I find I do not like doing it, just reading about it!

who is this ratty character?

this is me and hongying, my coworker. we did this for the beginning of the summer programming. she is super about trying almost anything, even being a ratty character. (In case you're not up on your children's lit, it's geronimo stilton.)
